The Cleveland Browns face an anxious wait to discover if surgery will be required by end David Njoku about a wrist injury.
A key portion of the Browns offense, njoku, was hurt on Sunday within their win on the New York Jets, putting a concussion.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport stated that Njoku is seeking a second opinion if a surgery that could sideline him for more than a month will be needed by the wrist.
“David is a fantastic player so definitely him being limited right now or anything presents problems to us,” Browns head trainer Freddie Kitchens said before on Wednesday.
“This match in the National Football League is about attrition so that you have to manage it on your side along with also other groups do, as well.
“We will get the next guy in there and make sure he understands what to do. When someone goes down, that’s another opportunity for someone else we will see how it goes.”
On top of Njoku, the Browns were also lacking numerous novices at practice on Wednesday including linebacker Christian Kirksey (pectoral) and defensive backs Damarious Randall (concussion) and Morgan Burnett (quad).
“We’re still kind of playing it by ear,” Kitchens added. “We’ll observe how those progress during the course of the week.”
